Some applications mentioned here are not open source. You can refer to this Markdown cheat sheet for quick reference. It’s often useful in writing documents, especially for developers. Not just GitHub, even several social media websites support Markdown, including Facebook. For example, if you use asterisks (*) before and after the text, it will be displayed in bold text.
